Replacing the kitchen hood, after using it for 9 months

We often cook meat or stew dishes at home. With the kitchen hood we used before, even with the fan on, cooking pork belly made the food smell rise all the way to the second floor, and cleaning the filter was also a hassle.
So, November 2025 I replaced the kitchen hood. I bought the SNDOAS 30-inch range hood on Amazon and my husband installed it himself.

After using it for about 9 months, the change I noticed the most is The fact that the smell of food reaching the second floor has decreased and cleaning the filter has become easierI spent prepping the night before.
Using a 700 CFM range hood for 9 months
This product is up to 700 CFM, the fan speed is Step 3Yes. When I cook, I usually use the highest setting, level 3.

In the past, when we grilled pork belly, the smell would travel up to the second floor even with the hood on, but now that happens a lot less. When making stew or grilling meat, you can actually see the steam and smoke being sucked straight into the hood.
Once, while I was cooking, my husband said he could smell the food from outside in the backyard. It was a bit fascinating to actually experience the smell being pulled up by the range hood and coming out outside.
Even if you use it in three tiers The fact that the noise doesn't feel worse than the previous hoodI was also satisfied. I didn't measure the noise level or airflow directly, but compared to the previous hood in the same house, I noticed a big difference, especially in how much food odors were reduced.
In my house QuietCool Whole House FanThere is also, but when I turn on both fans at the same time, I can feel the food smell being pulled up toward the second floor. I am not sure of the exact cause, but even when the smell goes up, it doesn't linger long in the house, probably because it escapes outside again.

Hood filter cleaning can be done with the dishwasher
Another thing that became convenient after changing the hood is Filter cleaning.
The old hood was a hassle to clean the filter on, so I didn't use it often, but the stainless steel baffle filter I use now is easy to remove and, according to the product description, Dishwasher safeI do.

Put them straight into the dishwasher this time, too, without soaking or scrubbing by hand. The 1-hour course I usually useturned it to.

When I took it out, the grease was removed to the extent that there was no need to wipe it again separately.

Since you took the filter out, just wipe the inside of the hood with a cleaning wipe and put the dry filter back in, and you're done.
Since cleaning is easy The point that it has become easier to manage the filter more frequently than beforeAlso good.

However, since the maintenance method may vary for each filter, before putting it in the dishwasher Is this filter dishwasher safe? It is best to check the product description.
After 9 months of use
This hoodie on Amazon on November 23, 2025 $139.55, tax included $151.76I bought it at.
What I felt the most after using it for about 9 months is The fact that the smell of food reaching the second floor has decreased and that cleaning the filter has become much simpler.
Even when mainly using it on the third setting, I've never had any issues with noise, and I haven't found anything particularly inconvenient about it so far.
If I were to choose a kitchen hood again, I would consider not only the maximum airflow capacity but also Fan speed, noise, and how to separate and clean the filterI think we will check ... together as well.
Tried, tested, and documented again today,
this is a record from The Lovely 셋.
